The NROSH team conducted a round of regional seminars to promote a greater understanding of NROSH and canvas the views of social housing providers. These seminars were well attended by Local Authorities and Registered Social Landlords

This site describes the NROSH requirements in plain English to help you make decisions when evaluating toolkits or full NROSH compatible asset management systems

NROSH Overview

The NROSH data is split up into sections and sub sections. Each sub section can in turn be broken down into sub sections and so on. Thus the whole NROSH dataset is represented as a complex 'tree' structure that branches or fans out into more and more detail.

This tree structure is repeated for each uniquely identified property or communal block. Blocks require a slightly different set of data to be collected but they are still treated as uniquely identified entities.

Although this sounds complicated this nested structure can easily be created by NROSH software systems and some of the data can come from data fields in your existing housing management systems.

The main problem you will encounter is that the NROSH database requires certain data to be collected that will not be available in any of your current systems. Therefore, you will need to collect this data using paper based survey methods or one of the modern data collection survey systems now available such as PocketSurvey.
